To view appropriate audio visual presentations as appropriate; to see and hear about the different histories of the Borough of Margate, in words and phrases which they can easily assimilate.
All our Volunteer Guides are trained to assist with visits and are fully conversant of the appropriate exhibits. Some, but not all, are retired teachers and lecturers, but all have a love of the history the museum holds.
With the new after school clubs, for 7 to 11’s and 12 to 16’s, there is an opportunity for the young people to develop presentation skills in the preparing exhibits and exhibitions. They will also have a better understanding of local history and how the Borough has had significant roles over the years in the development of not only the area but also the country.
