Top 5 Hong Kong Pools

As the hot weather sets in, it’s time to cool down with some swimming. Whether you prefer to soak up the sun at a swanky rooftop pool or splash around with the kiddies at a fun-filled water park, we’ve found some of the best spots in Hong Kong for refreshing dips in the pool.

Public pools are managed by LCSD and are open to residents and non-residents with a pool pass. On weekdays, the entrance fee is HK$17 per adult and HK$19 on weekends. Seniors, people with disabilities, full-time students and children under 3 can enjoy reduced admission fees.

Kids are in for a treat at this Sai Kung pool, which is equipped with a main pool, teaching pool and leisure pool designed specifically for kids. Plus, the pool also has large water slides that are a hit with older kids and teenagers.

Located just a short walk from the Airport Express at Wai Man Road, this pool is one of the city’s most popular family attractions. Aside from its five outdoor swimming pools – including teaching, diving and leisure ones – there’s also a waterfall, rocks and footbridge to explore as well as four indoor heated pools for those days when the outdoor temperature isn’t conducive to a swim.

There’s nothing like a dip in the glistening waters at this hotel’s rooftop pool to take the edge off the summer heat. The swanky hotel is the newest addition to the W group of hotels and boasts a stunning rooftop view of the iconic skyline and Victoria Harbour.

Another great hotel rooftop pool, this ultra-luxury spot in Victoria Dockside is a hidden gem. It’s smaller than the others on this list, but it has one of the best views of Hong Kong Island and offers guests a chance to relax and unwind in style. You’ll also find the perfect backdrop for a few summer Instagram photos at this chic pool.

Guests of this 5-star hotel get full access to the pool, but for non-hotel guests, we recommend purchasing a WET Everyday Pass (which also gives you access to their FIT gym) or a 12-Day Pass. You’ll be mesmerised by the gorgeous city and harbour view while you swim, workout and even sip on some of their signature cocktails!

There’s a reason this is considered the most famous rooftop pool in Hong Kong. Perched on the 76th floor of this hotel, you can expect to be stunned by its breathtaking view of the skyline and Victoria Harbour. It’s a must-visit for all those who want to experience a truly glamorous pool staycation. To make the most out of your visit, we recommend coming here during the morning when the sunlight is at its peak. After a refreshing swim, you can refuel with some of their delicious snacks and drinks. Be sure to try their Alaskan king crab rolls, strawberry mirlitons and champagne.
